Information for September & Fall 2019

Hi friends!

Lindsay Costello and I are looking forward to the next edition of Critical Viewing — but we’ll need your help by submitting your art event to us to make them worthwhile.

That being said, we’re planning on doing something a little different for this upcoming September and for Fall!

Since our printed booklet ‘Critical Viewing for Summer 2019’ was a major success, we wanted to continue to offer a printed version of the series for Fall 2019.

If you’re interested in pre-ordering this booklet (it will not be available to order after printing) please fill out the Critical Viewing for Fall 2019 -- IN PRINT form here

To note, this form should only be used if:

  • You’re interested in receiving printed copies of the Fall 2019 edition of Critical Viewing

  • Have your programming finalized for September, October, and November (if you only have 2/3 months, that is okay as well)

You must submit your exhibition(s) by August 26, 2019 at 12 AM PST.

Each booklet will cost $2 each (this is how much it costs us to make)

We prefer to ship out these booklets as it ensures that it will arrive at your art space on time, however, once we’ve printed the booklet we will have 1-2 opportunities for people to pick up the booklet in person, date and time TBD.

Cost for shipping booklets is as follows:

  • $5 shipping for orders of qty 10 or less

  • $10 shipping for orders of qty 15 or more

We will try to include as many submissions as possible, but priority will be given to art spaces that would like to pre-order/purchase this issue. If you're not interested in receiving any copies of the ‘Critical Viewing: Fall 2019’ in print, please submit your exhibition to our September 2019 — ONLINE ONLY form here.

We will continue sharing Critical Viewing online on a monthly basis. All events and exhibitions submitted to the Fall 2019 will be included in the online editions of their specific month.

Submission Information

Qualifying events include art exhibitions, performances, readings, lectures and artist talks, fundraisers, pop-ups, film screenings, and social practice projects.

Submissions must be press release or press release like. We do not accept ads or submissions that do not include relevant information for us to review and compile.

If you would like to place an ad with us or want assistance promoting your exhibition or event please visit the "Work with Us" Page on our website. Also please keep in mind that submitting your event does not guarantee that it will be included.

Thank you!
