Stephanie Snyder, the John and Anne Hauberg Curator and Director of the Douglas F. Cooley Memorial Art Gallery at Reed College, joins exhibiting artist Julie Green in conversation. The discussion will focus on Green's recent paintings in her solo exhibition Food, Fashion, and Capital Punishment and their relationship to Green's practice at large.
Following the talk, Picnic Brownies Make Life Easy becomes available for purchase. A limited edition facsimile of Green's personal cookbook, it includes functional recipes, notes, sketches and images collected in an antique ledger. Its creation was funded by the Oregon Arts Commission and Ford Family Foundation.
